Do you sell your Toronto Murphy Wallbeds in Do-It-Yourself kits?

  • Yes! We sell our Toronto Murphy Wallbeds in three packages:
  1. The Cabinetmarker Kit contains the lift mechanism and all hardware (except the footbar) with complete instructions, including cutlist and drilling directions. You select your own building materials and construct the foundation and cabinet. Price is $349.00.

  2. The Handyperson Kit contains the mechanism and hardware plus the hardwood foundation (which holds your mattress). You build just the cabinet and face panels. Price is $665.00 - $745.00.

  3. The Complete Package contains everything you need to assemble the Toronto Murphy Wallbed of your choice. You supply only the mattress. Price according to the model chosen.

  • Unfinished MDF ready to paint
  • Prefinished Thermofoil and Melamine with 1/8" PVC edge banding for durability
  • All wood construction in various wood species with 1/8" solid edge banding for durability, sanded and ready to finish.

Are your Toronto Murphy Wallbeds difficult to assemble?

  • Our Toronto Murphy Wallbeds include a detailed instruction manual and computer video disc to aid in assembly. All parts are labelled and pre-drilled.
  • Two people are required for assembly. A familiarity with basic tools (wrench and power drill) and a willingness to follow instructions is all you need.
  • Assembly usually takes about 8 hours depending on your skill level.

  • The Handyperson weighs 65 lbs.
  • The Complete Wallbed System weighs approx. 350 lbs. It is shipped in several cartons, the largest of which is 4" x 19" x 89" and weighs 65 lbs.

What do I do in the unlikely event that my Toronto Murphy Wallbed is damaged on arrival?

  • First, the transport company will call and arrange delivery to your curb. The Complete Wallbed is shipped in several double wrapped individual cartons.
  • Have the driver stand by while you inspect the outside of the cartons for any obvious signs of damage.
  • If no damage is found, simply sign the waybill.
  • If damage is found, have the driver note it on the waybill, then accept the shipment and send the driver on their way.
  • Then open the cartons and inspect for damage.
  • If there is damage, identify the damaged component.
  • Call us with the name of the damaged part and send us a copy of the waybill.
  • We will send replacement parts immediately.

  • Standard North American mattresses up to 9" thick will fit our Toronto Murphy Wallbeds.

  • We add a permanent fixed shelf to our commercial models in case clientelle do not properly engage the leg system.
